Hugger Ceiling Fans
Hugger ceiling fans, also known as flush mount ceiling fans, are a contemporary choice for low ceilings in bedrooms, living spaces and outdoor areas. The motor housing of a hugger ceiling fan is installed directly onto the ceiling, rather than being hung from a downrod like most traditional ceiling fans. A standard house build will see ceiling heights of 2.4 metres, and for optimal efficiency and airflow, a ceiling fan needs to be installed no lower than 2.1 metres from the floor to the bottom of the ceiling fan. A hugger ceiling fan is a good option for customers that do not have a lot of height to work with.
Included in this range is the Sycamore ceiling fan, winner of the Good Design Award in 2005. The Sycamore is known and loved for its whisper quiet operation, natural breeze effect, energy efficiency and its beautifully sculpted, organic form.
