The Astra Ceiling Fan Oil Rubbed Bronze with Light and Remote 54″ is a stylish, twin blade hugger fan featuring durable, high quality moulded polymer blades. With its unique, propeller-style design, it is sure to be a standout centrepiece of any room. The Astra Ceiling Fan has also been manufactured with a resin coating to give it a damp rating, making it weather resistant and ideal for use in outdoor alfresco areas. With an overall drop of 28.2cm from the ceiling to the base of the fan, the Astra is the perfect low profile option for those with a limited ceiling height.

This listing comes complete with the Astra LED Light Kit (15w 3000k) and the Self-Learning Remote Control. The remote works on a radio frequency and can be used on any ceiling fan, although it is recommended for use with Iconic Fan Company or The Modern Fan Company branded ceiling fans. It features a three speed function (low, medium and high), an on/off light function, as well as a self-learning function. A wall cradle and battery are also included.

For a more versatile use, the Astra also has an optional Extension Kit to allow for high ceiling applications, where the fan will be suspended from a downrod instead of hugging the ceiling. The Astra cannot be installed directly onto a sloped ceiling – for installation on a sloped ceiling, you will require the use of the Astra Extension Kit Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Important Note: The Astra Extension Kit for high ceiling and sloped ceiling applications is unable to be adapted without an Extension downrod. The listing for an Extension Kit also includes the ability to choose between a 91cm downrod or a 180cm downrod, correlating in colour to the Extension kit and ceiling fan.

Warranty

Your Iconic Fan Company or The Modern Fan Company ceiling fan (excluding accessories such as the Remote Control Transmitter and Receiver, Accessory Light Kit & Wall Control) is covered by a three year on-site warranty. Remote Control Receiver and Transmitters (Handsets), Accessory Light Kits (integrated or externally mounted) and Wall Controls are covered by a one year on-site warranty. No further warranty is offered on these items after the one year period.

Warranty claims are considered on a case by case basis, and are determinant upon the terms and conditions as outlined on our Warranty Procedures page. All ceiling fans must be installed by a licensed electrician, and fans should not be removed or serviced prior to contacting EID Fans, as this may void your warranty.

In the event of a manufacturing defect (material or workmanship), EID Fans will provide a repair or replacement for any product considered to be defective, as per Australian Consumer Law standards. As a gesture of goodwill, EID Fans will also provide a $100.00 compensation fee for your electrician. We advise obtaining a quote from your electrician prior to making arrangements to replace your faulty ceiling fan. All faulty ceiling fans will be returned to EID Fans and tested prior to a compensation fee being given. Any goods returned that we deem to be an installation error and not in fact a manufacturing defect (material or workmanship) will not be met with a compensation fee.

Moulded Polymer Blades

Moulded Polymer refers to the process of injecting melted plastic into a mould, where it cools and hardens to the shape of the mould. Plastic is not metallic, therefore it will not rust or corrode when exposed to outdoor elements.

Blade Sweep Diameter

Sweep diameter refers to the overall distance end to end when a ceiling fan is in operation (or from blade tip to blade tip when referring to a four bladed ceiling fan).
