Ensure the ball joint slot is secured correctly into the groove on the mounting bracket.

Check that all screws have been tightened correctly, including the blade screws, the timber hex mounting bracket screws, the ball joint screw and the downrod screws where the downrod meets the motor of the ceiling fan.

Ensure the blades are a matching set by checking the 'grams' of each blade - this should be stated on a small sticker on the top side of the blade.

Check the installation in the ceiling and that the mounting bracket has been installed correctly. Small gaps between the mounting bracket and timber trusses will result in small movements, causing the fan to wobble.

If you believe all possible problems have been explored and the ceiling fan is still wobbling, or the weights of the blades do not match, please have your customer complete our Warranty Claim Form.

If you have received a cosmetically damaged ceiling fan (i.e. a dent in the motor, a broken blade, etc) please email images of the damage to sales@eidfans.com.au prior to the ceiling fan being installed and within 2 months of the purchase of your ceiling fan.

Damages occurring after installation as a result of improper or external use, or damage caused by a third party during installation (such as stepping on the blade or dropping the motor) is not covered under warranty.

Failure to report the damage within 2 months of the purchase of your ceiling fan will result in the need to purchase replacement parts at your own cost, as we have no way of determining when or how the damaged occurred.

Important Note: In the event that the remote needs to be re-paired using the Learning Process, any ceiling fan currently connected to power will learn to that particular hand piece. Ensure any ceiling fans not being paired are disconnected by turning off the isolation switch.

Should the power not have been disconnected, and the remote control hand piece has been paired to multiple ceiling fans, you will need to systematically work through each fan to re-pair them. Each time the Learning Process is performed, the fan is programmed with a new code.

If you are unable to successfully re-pair the remotes with new codes, try swapping hand pieces between different rooms and begin the process again. In the event that all attempts to remedy the problem are unsuccessful, you may need to purchase new hand pieces with no pre-learned codes, and begin the process again, as unfortunately there is no way to 'clear' the code from a hand piece entirely.

Returning the original hand pieces will result in a refund of the purchase cost of new ones, provided that they are in working condition.

A clicking, knocking or clunking noise is usually an indication that there is movement occurring in the fan, even if a wobble isn't visible.

Please have your electrician thoroughly check the installation, making sure all screws are properly tightened and secure (including blade screws), and most importantly that the mounting bracket is secured correctly into the timber trusses. A small gap between the mounting bracket and gyprock, or the gyprock and timber trusses, can cause a clicking or knocking sound from small vibrations of the ceiling fan in motion.

An intermittent buzzing or humming during the day or at night (approx. 20 seconds long) is caused by signals across the power grid for the purpose of turning on hot water systems. This noise is normal, and not subject to warranty claims.

To further trouble-shoot the noise, have the blades removed from the fan to determine if the noise persists without the weight of the blades. If the noise stops, please check the blade installation.

Check through all speeds of the fan, to see if the noise is persistent on every speed, or only apparent on particular speeds. If the ceiling fan is only making a clicking or ticking noise on one speed, this is an indication of an installation fault, as a mechanical fault would be present on all speeds.

Please also operate the fan in reverse to see if the noise is still present. If you believe you have thoroughly checked through all other trouble-shooting above, please complete our Warranty Claim Form.

Important Note: Ceiling fans operate using ball bearings that eventually may wear down or lose lubrication. This can result in a humming noise, but only after a period of time. A worn out or unlubricated bearing will not occur immediately, potentially not even for years, and any claims for a 'faulty bearing' under the advice of an electrician for clicking or ticking noises, will not be considered under warranty.
